New York Fashion Week opened the spring/summer 2027 season in September 2026. At the David H. Koch Theater, Wes Gordon marked Carolina Herrera’s 45th anniversary by turning the Promenade into a version of Park Avenue, with a traffic median of 28,798 yellow tulips, W Magazine reported.

Henry Zankov made his debut as artistic director of DVF, remixing archival prints and rethinking the wrap dress. Kaia Gerber opened Khaite’s show in a waterfront warehouse at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, her first runway appearance in seven years, and Michael Kors showed in the MoMA sculpture garden in poppy reds, yellows and greens.

Joseph Altuzarra built his collection around Casa Susanna, mixing tough leather jackets with voluminous skirts. Ralph Lauren brought ruffles, florals, feathers and denim trimmed with white feathers, and Tory Burch showed embellished cardigans, beaded pumps and handmade feather boas.

Accessories got new hero shapes, including Proenza Schouler’s reworked PS1 Walker bag and Daniella Kallmeyer’s first signature bag, the Magazine.
