Fashion Prime, the Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Fair, held its ninth edition at Fuar İzmir from 21 to 23 October 2026. The fair is organised by İZFAŞ and hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, and its purpose is specific: to put bridal and evening-wear manufacturers in the same halls as the fabric and accessory suppliers they buy from.
According to the opening-day report by the DHA news agency, 47 companies exhibited and professional visitors were expected from 13 countries, including the United States, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Italy, France and Spain. The programme combined mixed and concept runway shows on 21 and 22 October, built from exhibitors’ fabrics and trims, with workshops and international buyer delegation meetings.
Exhibitors interviewed on the fair floor pointed to several directions for 2027. Oğuz Kunt named French lace, embroidered designs and more structured models as prominent, and expects the trend to carry into next year, while noting that simpler gowns sell best in Izmir itself. Ünal Tunaboylu highlighted the return of large, pearlescent sequins, fringed and stone-embellished dresses, stone and bead embroidery on lace and tulle, and plain fabrics. Accessory maker Foruzan Koçoğlu, a nine-year exhibitor, said her company is working with lighter, softer colours, three-dimensional flowers and metal details.
Fashion Prime is the first of three linked Izmir events planned by İZFAŞ for the wedding trade. İzmir Bridal Week is scheduled for the first time on 24–26 November 2026, and IF Wedding Fashion İzmir will hold its 20th edition on 19–22 January 2027, aimed at domestic and international buyers.
