Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of Light Industry, which reports to the country’s Cabinet of Ministers, is leading a business visit to Istanbul from 1 to 4 November 2026. According to the agency’s announcement, a delegation of Uzbek manufacturers will hold business-to-business meetings with representatives of seven major Turkish fashion brands: adL, Damat Tween, AVVA, Koton, DeFacto, Mavi and Madame Coco.
The Uzbek companies make ready-to-wear clothing, knitwear, denim and home textiles. The agency says the aims of the trip are to expand exports of Uzbek textile products, win new and direct export orders, explore joint manufacturing projects and build long-term partnerships with the Turkish brands.
The visit comes as Turkish apparel makers report weak orders and rising costs at home. For Turkish retailers, which buy large volumes of basics, denim and knitwear for their store networks in Türkiye and abroad, Central Asian producers are a way to widen their supplier base; for Uzbekistan, which grows its own cotton, the meetings are a chance to move further into finished garments.
