Cift Kaplan Camasirlari was established in 1928 in Istanbul. It was the in Sultanhamam (Istanbul) store where Cift Kaplan started to trade notions and today that store is still flagship to the company. Later on, Cift Kaplan started to outsource and sell undergarments under its own brand name until 1956 when the first workshop was founded in Beyazit, Riza Pasa Cad. Meslek Han. In the early 70’s, the company moved to its current address in Topkapi in order to boost the capacity for production. Here the company gained access to an increased number of employees as well as modern equipment. The core strengths of the company lay in its well established public image for high quality and determined marketing principles. In 1986, Cift Kaplan expanded into two companies, one for manufacturing and one for sales/marketing, both of which are governed by the 3rd generation of the family today. The company being heavily focused on the local market also has accumulated experience with exporting. Since 1984, the main export market has been U.S.A. and European countries.
