Özzengin Family first met and joined to leather sector in 1925, by founder and first generation Tanner Mehmet Ata ÖZZENGİN. By these dates tanning was carried out by crude methods in Gerede. Mr. Mehmet Ata is the first person that introduced the technology to tannery and used electricity motors in drums. Mr. Mehmet Ata who resumed production until end 1950 in Gerede, came to Istanbul Kazlicesme after this date and maintained the business in Kazlicesme. The company who maintained “kösele” production for a while founded a new company as ”M.Zeki ve M.Ali Özzengin Koll.Şti.” and began “vidala” production with second generation administration until end 1992 in Kazlicesme. In 1993 being in modernization activities the company moved to its new and modern establishment, in the area of Tuzla Organize Deri Sanayi (Tuzla Organised leather sector) and began its third generation activities as Özzengin Deri San.Tic.Ltd.Şti. And continues the production ever since. Our Company, whose main aim is to work for quality in production and service, continue the necessary investments, with its experience carried from the past in order to maintain to reach its goal under today’s competitive conditions.
