QUANTITY and SPECIAL ORDERS On the website, only one of each item is offered for sale, if you want mutiple quantities of a certain product, it is possible, you will need to contact me to organise a special order. JEWELLERY FINDINGS Findings, is a term in the jewellery industry used to describe all the little component pieces that we can work with. Included under "Findings" are things like clasps, earrings hooks, brooche pins, hair clips and hair combs. When Fantasia jewellery provides you with product information, all details are given about the "findings" used. STERLING SILVER 925- is a precious metal GOLD- is available in 9,12,14,18 and 22 carat. 14K GOLD FILLED- is a thick layer of gold bonded over a brass finding, gold adheres much better to brass and wears longer. VERMEIL- is gold bonded over sterling silver, with this, the gold will wear off quicker. Fantasia does not use vermeil findings. BASE METAL- means that a base metal of some form has been used, it is then plated with an imitation gold or silver colour finish. SPECIAL REQUESTS Anything is possible. It's not advisable to attempt to pull the clasp open from the sides of the necklace. SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS Only Crystals from Swarovski are used through out my work. 'AB' AURORA BOREALIS Through out some product descriptions you might see the letters 'AB'. This is abbreviated for the word Aurora Borealis, a word which describes the luminous phenomena that is displayed, surrounding the magnetic north pole, also known as the Northern Lights. Because of the glorious display of colours the AB gives; this term given has also been applied to crystals or glass beads that have a particular coating on them which reflects in the light a colourful array. Glass beads and Crystals can be clear, opaque or clear with an AB coating. So if something is AB, know to expect some beautifully reflective colours that will sparkle and shine.
