Placed orders for additional Yarn Dyeing machinery and a Co-generation Plant (generating energy from natural gas). Purchased land with an area of 288,300 m2 for plant construction in Lüleburgaz and started construction activities. December 1996: Decease of Mr. Rüştü Akın, President Late 1998: Establishment of the second plant. our Lüleburgaz production facilities came into effect. 06.06.2003: Received ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate from TSE for both plants. June 2004 : Construction of additional building was started in Luleburgaz plant for transfer purposes of production foundation in Istanbul Plant. June 2005 : Transfering of the production foundations were completed from Istanbul Plant to the new building in Luleburgaz Plant. Istanbul foundation become the head office and was also used for logistics service purposes. Late 2005 : Concept and Research activity started for construction of Shopping Mall and Recidences on the land at Istanbul – Mahmutbey. June 2006 : Offices in Istanbul – Mahmutbey were transferred to the new address in Ambarlı – Avcılar. July 2006 : The Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of July 2006 resolved to amend the Articles of Incorporation of the Company by means of an addition to the provision on Scope of Activity to provide for construction activities to be carried out on the real estates owned by the company and to incorporate a new company to realize the investment for development. Agust 2006 : Edip Uluslararası Gayrımenkul ve Turizm A.S. was founded where Edip İplik A.S. has %99,99 share of the capital 1.000.000,- YTL.
